Monash Online Graduate

This course is structured in two parts: Part A. Project management essentials knowledge, and Part B. Project management advanced theory and practice. All students complete Part B. Depending upon prior qualifications, you may receive credit for Part A.

Note: If you are eligible for credit for prior studies, you may elect not to receive the credit.

The planning approach to project management

The learning approach to project management

In these units you will develop specialist expertise in organising the projects function to deliver value through your ability to manage complex projects and knowledge.

The project as a social system

Project management for organisational innovation

Managing project knowledge

Entry level 1: 48 credit points to complete

Duration: 1.4 years part-time

An Australian degree or equivalent qualification with at least a credit (60%) average or an equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

Entry level 2: 24 credit points to complete

Duration: 0.7 years part-time

A Monash University Graduate Certificate of Project Management with at least a credit (60%) average.

English requirements

Applicants must meet the English language requirements.

Minimum entrance requirements apply for admission to Monash University Australia.

For the Graduate Diploma of Project Management, the estimated cost is $4,637.50 per unit*. You may be eligible to receive a FEE-HELP loan to cover part or all of your tuition. Fees are subject to change annually.

Your pathway to a master’s degree

Monash Online offers flexible study options to suit your career goals. Choose a study  pathway that suits you:

  1. Graduate with a Graduate Diploma of Project Management in approximately 1.4 years part-time accelerated, after completing 8 units (48 credit points total).
  2. Graduate with a Master of Project Management in approximately 2 years part time accelerated, by continuing after the Graduate Diploma and completing 12 units (72 credit points total).
  3. Exit the Graduate Diploma of Project Management after completing 4 units (24 credit points) in approximately 0.7 years part-time accelerated, and graduate with a Graduate Certificate of Project Management.

Jonathan Matheny is the Director of Program Development for Leadership and Executive Education. He leads the development of new programs and teaches personal development, leadership and organisational change. He has led academic programs and lectures across North America, Europe and Asia.

Dr Danielle Ramirez

Dr Danielle Ramirez is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Leadership and Executive Education at the Monash Business School. Danielle completed a Bachelor of Business, a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Honours) and her PhD at Monash.
